I’m going to be honest: I don’t know why you’re messaging me and I can’t help but feel that it’s going to end badly for me. But whatever. I guess it’s possible you’ve gotten nicer since you were here. You certainly couldn’t have gotten meaner.
I can’t possibly summarize everything that’s happened since you left so here are some random stories I remember. Hopefully they help you feel better, or not.
- I hope you didn't know anyone on Pod 37-E because it uh... it fell out of the sky. They're doing an inquiry and it looks like the Director of Maintanence is going to be put on trial, but that doesn't seem like it explains everything. Why didn't any precogs say anything?
- After the last election the LLI, the TDL, and a brand-new party that advocates for radical psychic rights (they only won three seats, so I think they're latching on to the majority government for notoriety) formed a coalition. They're calling for all the usual stuff -- less crime, more jobs for the poor, expansion of mining operations to neighboring systems, but who knows what they'll actually get done.
- One of the government-funded R&D corps... Damjana Advocates for Excellence I think it was, keeps saying they're about to announce a breakthrough in mass biopsi enhancement tech, but as you know they're hardly the first to claim something like this and they all seem to go quiet shortly after. The only mass enhancement tech that's actually worked is metapsi.
